W.I.E.F.? (Will I Ever Find?) is a self-produced, self-examination of a 29-year old lower-middle class man completely absorbed with and tortured by himself. Love is what the 29 year-old is trying to find, and “will I ever find love” is the mantra repeated numerous times throughout the album. This album explores the dichotomy of creation versus destruction, and is existential because it is not absolute. It does not rank one over the other, but rather recognizes that both creation and destruction may help and hurt the protagonist’s quest for “love.”

Creation is the general source of ego and purest desires - to connect outwardly with others, to love and be loved. But it is isolating. It isolates him from a depressed, addicted world, and turns him to marijuana use which makes him talk to himself out loud. Destruction, characterized by gluttony, dependence, and general self-sabotage, kills him - mentally, spiritually, physically - but it connects him to the struggle of the outside world, and makes him feel temporarily a part of a larger family. Sometimes it teases him with prospects of love, though mostly they end up as duds, revealing themselves as dysfunctional, unhealed, unhealthy, woefully stubborn individuals.

“Will I Ever Find Love?” is the mantra that both creation and destruction are asking, seeking. Sonically, this is a platter of tastes- dance/House, Chicago footwork inspired, “soul” drill beats, and lo-fi R&B. The tones are upbeat, energetic, airy and flowery, or mechanic and hard, but meant to be moved to and felt, not just heard.
